Programmatically adding a chart field

Is there an example somewhere of adding a chart field using the WPF reports?  The samples I have found all use the Winforms chart, which seems to have significantly more functionality.  I am using Reports for WPF and have an existing report that is generated entirely through code (there is no report definition file).  I need to add a chart to this report.
