Dear C1 Support Team,

I have problems with embedded fonts in VSReport when I try to Render to PDF.

We use the font "universe LT condensed" in some reports.

When we print out, it looks perfect.

When we Render to PDF, it looks like this (only a section shown here) -> THIS IS THE WRONG FONT:

The properties of the generated PDF also look good:

--------------------------------

This is how it SHOULD look (and it look so when I print via VSReport). I generated a PDF using VSReport printdoc and a pdf-printer like pdfFactory -> THIS IS THE CORRECT FONT:

(Forget about the alignment, this was done qick & dirty, just to test :-))

The properties look slightly different:

-------------------

So my questions are:

- what are we doing wrong?

- is this maybe a known problem, are there patches, workaround or something else?

We used our licensed Version "c1studioenterprise_T107.zip" and also tried the actual one, "T3_2008", both versions showed the same behaviour.

Kind regards,

Hello,

In order to replicate the issue I would request you to let me know that the fonts that you are using are these Unicode fonts.

As when you use the same Font in report it should be fine but sometime if the fonts the being used are Unicode then the issues can arise in rendering the same to the PDF.

Please feel free to share your observations on the same.

Have a nice day.

Regards,

Patrick

I am having a very similar issue.  I am using all the latest C1 tools, I just ran the live tool in the last hour.  I am using the C1Report tool then using C1PDF to create the results as a PDF.  My output is trying to use a combination of OCR A Extended(a truetype font included in the C1Report List) and regular Times New Roman.  The document works just fine on my development machine running Vista 32 bit.  However, when moved to a test server running Windows Server 2003 the OCR A Extended Font does not get displayed, it gets changed to Times New Roman or Arial, whatever the default is.  I am not sure how or why this is possible.  The OCR A Extended font is installed on both machines.  I have even tried it on a 3rd machien, also a server running Windows Server 2003 and it has the same issue.  Can you give me some insight on how I my proceed or what I may try?

Hello,

Please note that I have tried to create the small sample using the same font and tried to convert the same to the PDF and I am not able to find the issue.

Please find the attached sample with this mail, also there is a screen shot which compares the fonts in the generated PDF.

Please feel free to share your observations on the same.

Have a nice day.

Patrick
