I want to transform the xml export form our application into an xml document which I can use as a source document in Doc2Help. It would be very helpfull if I had a dtt or an xsd of the required doc2help xml format.

Is such a file available?

With reference to your query, what it seems that you want to transform the xml export from your application into an xml document and use as XML source in d2h
 
In this context I would like to inform you that you don’t need any Add-on for importing/adding your XML document in d2h, you may directly import it if you are using Doc-To-Help 2009, by clicking on add document on the left pane and choosing the type as XML.
