I built a HTML Help project, which builds fine. But when I try to create a manual out of it. I get Template property specifies a non-existant file C1H-PRNOMARGIN.DOT How should I correct this problem ?

Hello,

With reference to your query, I would like to request you to check the “Target template” property in Doc-To-Help, and click “Add Template” as C1H_PRNOMARGIN.DOT from the default location, and re-build your project.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Hello,

Regarding the mentioned issue, I would like to inform you that the following error message occurs when Doc-To-Help could locate the attached template.

In your case, the template attached is C1H-PRNOMARGIN.DOT and Doc-To-Help could not find it at the default location. I have also created a video showing the same and request you to kindly download and execute the attached video

In order to resolve this issue, I would request you to kind add the C1H-PRNOMARGIN.DOT template from the following location to your project.

For Windows XP.

            C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data (Hidden Folder) \Microsoft\Templates

For Windows Vista.

C:\Users\ USERNAME \App Data (Hidden Folder)\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

Incase you find the following folder empty then it might be possible that the templates are not properly installed and we need to copy the templates manually by following the steps I have included underneath:

a) Close Doc-to-Help and any instance of Word. Restart the machine.

b) Copy the DOT files from

            C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Templates\User

    To:

For Windows XP:

        C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data (Hidden Folder) \Microsoft\Templates

For Windows Vista.

C:\Users\ USERNAME \App Data (Hidden Folder)\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

John Adams
