To install Spread for ASP.NET,
1. Save the downloaded ZIP file to a temporary directory on your system, and then unzip the files to a temporary directory.
2. Run the Spread for ASP.NET 7(Bits) or Spread for ASP.NET 7(Docs).exe (bits or documentation).
3. Select Install.
4. On the initial Welcome screen of the installation program, click Next.
5. On the License Agreement screen, select whether you agree to the license agreement. If you do, then click Next.
6. Continue to choose from the various installation options, clicking Next when each step of the installation is complete.
Notes:
•Near the end of the installation, the help file is installed on your system and registered. This process can take some time, and you might think that your system has stopped, but do not interrupt the installation process.
•The Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) will be stopped and restarted during the setup process.
•If you experience issues installing under Microsoft Windows Vista, you may need to install as the administrator. If you are still unable to install, try disabling your User Account Control (UAC) and then reactivate after installing.
•If the install program stops running under Microsoft Windows Vista, then you may need to do the following: Additional Installation Steps.
•If you are using Visual Studio 2005 projects and Spread for ASP.NET you may need to update the fp_client path: Visual Studio .NET 2005 Project.
