Working with a Range of Cells

Overview

Note: This section applies to ActiveX users only. DLL users can work with blocks of cells by using parameters provided in appropriate functions.

Use the Col, Col2, Row, and Row2 properties to define a block of cells in the sheet. Then use the BlockMode property to specify that you want to work with a block of cells.

You can also work with individual cells, columns, rows, or the entire sheet by using the appropriate settings of the Col and Row properties without setting the BlockMode property. For more information, see Sheet Element Selection.

The instructions throughout the How-to Guides provide information about which sheet elements you can select and how to select them. Keep in mind that any task for which you can set the Col and Row properties will let you work with columns, rows, or the entire sheet as well.
