Spread Designer
To create and set up a date cell
In the Spread Designer,
- Select a cell or block of cells.

Choose the cell type using one of the following methods:
- Display the pop-up menu by right-clicking the cell or block of cells and then choose Date.
- From the Cell menu, choose Cell Type, Date.
- Choose the Date button ( ) on the cell type toolbar.
The Cell Type dialog box appears. -
In the Cell Type dialog box, on the Settings tab,
- Type the maximum date for the cell in the Max Date box.
- Type the minimum date for the cell in the Min Date box.
- If you want to horizontally or vertically align the text, select the appropriate option button under Horizontal Alignment and Vertical Alignment.
- Specify how text is oriented in the cell by choosing an item from the Text Orientation drop-down list box.
- Choose the OK or Apply button.

To specify how the century is calculated,
- From the Book menu, choose Environment or press the Environment button ( ) on the Book toolbar.

On the General tab in the Sheet Environment Settings dialog box, click the arrows or type a number in the Pivot Year spin box under Settings.
Spread calculates the minimum year by subtracting 99 years from the calculation date.
- Choose the OK or Apply button.
