Glossary Item Box

Gets or sets whether the ampersand character underlines text.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property HotkeyPrefix As HotkeyPrefix
Visual Basic (Usage)Copy Code
Dim instance As TextCellType
Dim value As HotkeyPrefix

instance.HotkeyPrefix = value

value = instance.HotkeyPrefix
C#
public HotkeyPrefix HotkeyPrefix {get; set;}

Property Value

HotkeyPrefix setting that determines the type of hot-key prefixes

Remarks

When this property is set to HotkeyPrefix.Hide, an ampersand in the text does not appear as an ampersand, nor does it underline the following letter. You might want to use the Hide setting if you want to temporarily hide the underlined letters, but sometimes display them for users who want hot key access.

When this property is set to HotkeyPrefix.None, ampersand characters are displayed as characters and the following character is not underlined.

When this property is set to HotkeyPrefix.Show, ampersand characters are not displayed but instead the character following the ampersand character is underlined. This only affects the appearance.

Example

This example specifies how text can be displayed including the letter case, the length, and whether it can wrap to multiple lines.
