Glossary Item Box

Gets or sets whether to allow the user to drag and fill cells in the component with the contents of a cell or cells.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property AllowDragFill As Boolean
Visual Basic (Usage)Copy Code
Dim instance As FpSpread
Dim value As Boolean

instance.AllowDragFill = value

value = instance.AllowDragFill
C#
public bool AllowDragFill {get; set;}

Property Value

Boolean: true to allow the user to drag and fill data; false otherwise

Remarks

This property determines whether the user can fill a selected range of cells by dragging the cells after copying the contents of one cell. When this property is set to true, the user can fill the contents of a cell or a range of cells using the drag-and-drop operation.

To fill a cell or cells, the user selects the cell or range of cells to copy, moves the pointer over the edge of the destination until the specified pointer appears, and then drags and drops the selection.

Example

This example specifies whether to allow the user to drag-and-fill to a cell or range of cells.
C#Copy Code

FarPoint.Win.Spread.SheetView shv = new FarPoint.Win.Spread.SheetView();
DialogResult dlg;
fpSpread1.Location = new Point(10, 10);
fpSpread1.Height = 200;
fpSpread1.Width = 400;
Controls.Add(fpSpread1);
fpSpread1.Sheets.Add(shv);
fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.SetValue(0, 0, "Drag");
fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.SetValue(1, 0, "And");
fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.SetValue(2, 0, "Fill");
dlg = MessageBox.Show("If you want to Drag/Fill click the YES button, place the pointer on the bottom-right edge of the selection,
and then drag and fill.", "DragFill", MessageBoxButtons.YesNo);
if (dlg == DialogResult.Yes)
{
     fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.AddSelection(0, 0, 3, 1);
     fpSpread1.AllowDragFill = true;
