Path and name of file to open

Parameters

fileName
Path and name of file to open

Return Value

Boolean: true if successful; false otherwise

Exceptions

ExceptionDescription
System.IO.FileNotFoundExceptionSpecified file is not found
System.ArgumentNullExceptionNo file name is specified (or specified file name is null)
System.ArgumentExceptionNo file name is specified (or specified file name is empty)

Example

This example opens the specified file and determines if it meets the minimal requirements to be considered a structured storage file containing an Excel workbook.
