This function calculates the cumulative beta distribution function.
Syntax
BETADIST(x,alpha,beta,lower,upper)
Arguments
This function has these arguments:
Argument | Description |
---|---|
x | Value at which to evaluate the function, between the values of lower and upper |
alpha | Alpha parameter of the distribution |
beta | Beta parameter of the distribution |
lower | [Optional] Lower bound of the interval for x; 0 if omitted |
upper | [Optional] Upper bound of the interval for x; 1 if omitted |
Remarks
If you omit values for upper and lower, the calculation uses the standard cumulative beta distribution, so that lower is zero and upper is one.
Data Types
Accepts numeric data for all arguments. Returns numeric data.
Examples
BETADIST(3,B3,C3,2,4)
BETADIST(3,R3C2,R3C3,2,4)
BETADIST(3,6,9,2,4) gives the result 0.7880249023
