GrapeCity.Win.PluginInputMan Assembly > GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType Namespace > GcTextBoxCellType Class : AutoConvert Property

Glossary Item Box

Gets or sets whether to automatically convert the entered characters according to the input mask.

Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property AutoConvert As Boolean
Visual Basic (Usage)Copy Code
Dim instance As GcTextBoxCellType
Dim value As Boolean

instance.AutoConvert = value

value = instance.AutoConvert
C#
public bool AutoConvert {get; set;}

Property Value

True if characters are automatically converted according to the input mask; otherwise, false.
The default is true.

Remarks

If the AutoConvert property is set to true, all convertible characters are automatically converted accordingly to the input mask. For example, if the input mask is "A", hitting a lower case character causes the control to automatically convert the character to upper case.

If SBCS is entered in a DBCS mask input, the entered character is automatically converted to DBCS. Also a DBCS space is automatically converted to a SBCS space when the control allows only SBCS.

Example

This example uses the AutoConvert property.
C#Copy Code
GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.GcDateTimeCellType datecell = new GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.GcDateTimeCellType();
datecell.FieldsEditMode = GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.FieldsEditMode.RightSide;
datecell.ExcelExportFormat = "MM/dd/yy";
fpSpread1.Sheets[0].Cells[0, 0].CellType = datecell;

GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.GcTextBoxCellType textcell = new GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.GcTextBoxCellType();
textcell.AutoConvert = true;
textcell.FormatString = "A";
fpSpread1.Sheets[0].Cells[1, 1].CellType = textcell;
VB.NETCopy Code
Dim datecell As New GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.GcDateTimeCellType()
datecell.FieldsEditMode = GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.FieldsEditMode.RightSide
datecell.ExcelExportFormat = "MM/dd/yy"
FpSpread1.Sheets(0).Cells(0, 0).CellType = datecell

Dim textcell As New GrapeCity.Win.Spread.InputMan.CellType.GcTextBoxCellType()
