Web Installer Instructions

To install Spread for Studio.NET,

Run the SpreadInstaller.exe program.
Choose the product (Bits) and documentation (Docs) you want to install.
If you want to change the installation path, type the path in the Install Path box or click the ellipses button to browse to specify the path.
Check the Accept EULA box to indicate that you agree to the terms of the license agreement.
Click Install to begin downloading and installing the selected Spread platform components and documentation.

Note: The web installer requires Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 and .NET Framework 3.5.

Instructions

To install Spread WinRT,

Save the downloaded ZIP file to a temporary directory on your system, and then unzip the files to a temporary directory.
Run the GrapeCity Spread WinRT(Bits) or GrapeCity Spread WinRT(Docs).exe (bits or documentation).
Select Install.
On the initial Welcome screen of the installation program, click Next.
On the License Agreement screen, select whether you agree to the license agreement. If you do, then click Next.
On the User Information screen, enter your name, and so on.
- If you are installing a licensed version of the product, type your Product Key in the field provided and click Next.
- If you are installing a trial version of the product, simply leave the Product Key field blank and click Next. (For more information, read Trial Version.)
Continue to choose from the various installation options, clicking Next when each step of the installation is complete.

Note: Near the end of the installation, the help file is installed on your system and registered. This process can take some time, and you might think that your system has stopped, but do not interrupt the installation process.

Activation

During installation, on the last screen, select the Run license manager checkbox and click the Close button to complete the installation.
In the GrapeCity License Manager window that appears, under Action, click Activate.
On the Activate the Product Key screen that appears, click Next.
In the Enter a Product Key screen that appears, enter the requested information, entering the product key exactly as you received it from ComponentOne, including any capital letters. A green check mark appears next to this field to indicate a valid key.
Click the Next button to authenticate the license.
If your machine does not have an internet connection,
1. Select the Use a browser on another machine with Internet connectivity option and click the Next button.
2. From the Activate using the GrapeCity web site screen that appears, copy the Product Key and Authentication Number.
3. On another machine with an internet connection, go to https://sas.grapecity.com/activation. Remember not to close the activation dialog on your original machine until the activation process is complete.
4. Enter the Product Key and Authentication Number from the original machine on this website.
5. Click the Send Request button to generate a license key.
6. From the website, copy the License Key and enter it in the Activate using GrapeCity web site dialog under Step 3.
7. Click Next and then Finish to complete the licensing process.
