The 2006 Version 1 release for ComponentOne Chart for .NET includes several new features and properties such as a Smart designer and a smart tag.

Smart Tag Support

The new smart tag features are available in Visual Studio 2005. The smart tags provide quick access to the control's common tasks. This is beneficial for accessing common properties in a single click without moving your focus from the form.

C1Chart added smart tag support to its C1Chart2D and C1Chart3D controls to allow for easier and quicker access to each control's common tasks and properties. Each control has its own special Smart Tag. For more information about the C1Chart2D Smart Tag, see C1Chart2D Smart Tag.

Smart Designer

The SmartDesigner allows you to quickly set Chart properties without leaving the design form. This solves the earlier problem of having to drill down through Chart's properties in the Properties window.  The new SmartDesigner provides the following features:

·      Built-in toolbars and editors.

·      Ability to add/edit labels through the Edit labels dialog box.

·      Connect labels to any series on the plot area of the chart by performing a drag-and-drop operation.

·      Labels for each chart element are provided for better user interaction with the chart elements.
