What's New in 2006 v2

Enhancements have been made to WebChart for ASP.NET to allow the user more flexibility, such as added AJAX support, enhanced navigaton bar, improved export behavior, and fixed position of the navigation bar when the report is scrollable.

Feature Overview

There have been enhancements to WebChart for ASP.NET that allow the user more flexibility:

Visual Effects Support

VisualEffects is a tool that provides VisualEffects rendering for the following C1Chart elements: Chart data series, Footer, and Header. In addition to the SmartPainter rendering the VisualEffects designer has various preset styles for the user to choose from.

For more information on the elements in the Visual Effects designer see, Using the Visual Effects Designer.

For more information on how to customize C1Chart's elements using the Visual Effects designer, see Using the Visual Effects designer to Customize the Chart Elements.

Enhanced DataBinding

C1WebChart now inherits from DataBoundControl instead of Image.

To make C1WebChart consistent with other data bound Web controls it uses DataSourceID instead of only a DataSource. For more information on how to bind C1WebChart to a data source control, see Binding C1WebChart to a Data Source Control.

New Properties for Anti-Aliasing While Rendering Chart Data

You can now determine whether to use anti-aliasing while rendering the C1WebChart2D object, chart graphics, and chart text through the UseAntiAliasedGraphics, and UseAntiAliasedText properties.
