To install and use ActiveReports 9, you need the following hardware and software.
Hardware requirements (minimum)
- Hard drive space: 200 MB available
- CD Drive: For CD package only
Software requirements
- Operating System: Windows® XP, Windows ™ Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2008 R2
- Microsoft® .NET Framework Version: 3.5 SP1, 4.0 or 4.5
- .NET Framework Client Profile: 3.5 or 4

Note: The Express Editions of Visual Studio do not work with ActiveReports, as they do not support packages. - For Web deployment: IIS 5.1, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and ASP.NET (version to match the .NET Framework version)
- Flash Player: Adobe Flash Player 11

Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 5 or higher, Google Chrome 17.
Note: Microsoft Silverlight 4 Tools is required for the application development with the ActiveReports Silverlight Viewer.
