Formatting Columns
Now we will format columns to highlight important information in our grid.
Formatting columns
1. Close the application.
2. Under C1FlexGridRow (on the left), select the Product Name element. In the Properties area, click on Appearance and select the Bold check box.
3. Now select the Quantity Per Unit element. Click the drop-down button and select FlexGrid Link Column. In the Properties area, click on Sizing. Under Width, choose the Auto radio button.
4. Now select the Unit Price element. In the Properties area, click on Appearance and click the Format String drop-down. Choose Currency. Under Advanced, set the High Value to 30 and the High ValueBackground Color to Yellow.
5. Select the Units in Stock element. In the Advanced area, set the Low Value to 1 and the LowValueBackground Color to Light Red.
6. Select the Units on Order element. In the Advanced area, set the High Value to 0 and the HighValueBackground Color to Light Green
Now the out of stock items are red, items on order are green, and the most expensive items are yellow. Clicking a Quantity Per Unit link will open a new tab for editing the data row for that product.
