Custom Controls > Using the Wijmo Control Extensions > Wijmo Details Control |
For content items that represent a single entity, such as the currently selected item in a list, you can substitute a Wijmo Details Control and set its Widget property to one of the available values. The following table shows the mapping between the property value and the underlying UI element.
Widget Property | Base Control |
(Default) | N/A |
Pie Chart | wijpiechart |
The Pie Chart widget renders a named slice for each entity property (assumed to be numeric) within its layout tree. This is different from the Pie Chart widget in the Wijmo Collection Control, which renders a named slice for each item in the collection.
The (Default) value is there to prevent the Pie Chart from being misapplied to layout elements. Due to the extensibility limitations of the HTML Client, the Wijmo Details Control is associated with Group content items instead of Details content items. Unfortunately, this makes it available in inappropriate contexts, such as Rows Layout and Columns Layout elements. If the (Default) value is selected, the widget behaves like a standard custom control.
