Cleaning Up Source HTML Documents

In some instances, you may want to remove unnecessary tags and symbols from your HTML document. The Cleanup Source HTML Document dialog box allows you to do this with the click of one button.To learn how to clean up HTML tags in source documents, complete these steps:

1.   On the Common toolbar (see Toolbars), click the Cleanup HTML button .

The Cleanup Source HTML Document dialog box opens with all of its options selected.

2.   To remove all source tags, leave all of the check boxes selected. If you only want to remove specific tags, clear the check boxes for any tags you'd like to preserve. 

3.   Click Strip MS Word Tags to remove the selected source tags from the document. 

 

4.   Click OK to accept the changes and to close the Cleanup Source HTML Document dialog box. Observe that the HTML that you selected have been removed from the document.
