Child Bands

In addition to the standard toolbars and menu bands, you can create a band that acts like a container for other bands. The container band displays these child bands as tabbed bands, a Navigation bar, or as shortcut bars. Child bands are normal Toolbar bands created in the designer after setting the ChildBandStyle property for the container band to any of the available ChildBand styles. This feature allows you to create advanced user interfaces similar to Visual Studio, VisualStudio 2005, Office2003, OfficeXP, Outlook, and many other popular applications.

Navigation Bar ChildBand

The Navigation Bar is a new ChildBand style that allows you a quick and easy way to create a Navigation Bar with multiple ChildBands rendered in an Office 2000, OfficeXP, Office 2003, or Visual Studio 2005 look and feel.

The NaveBarCustomize event occurs when selecting the Customize button for the Navigation Bar. The LargeButtonCount property determines how many large button tabs appear on a Navigation Bar. When using the default value of -1 for the LargeButtonCount property, no large button tabs appear in the Navigation tray for the Navigation Bar.
