Setting the Maximum Number of Columns and Rows

Overview

You can specify the maximum number of columns and rows in a sheet. When you scroll beyond the maximum number of columns or rows, a gray area appears indicating no additional cells exist. You can set the color of the gray area, as described in Setting the Gray Area Color.

You might want to increase or decrease the maximum number of columns and rows when inserting or deleting columns and rows. For more information on inserting and deleting columns and rows, see Inserting Columns and Rows and Deleting Columns and Rows.
