Importing and Exporting Web Parts

Once you have configured ComponentOne Studio for SharePoint Web Parts, you can export them so they can be used on other SharePoint sites.

To export ComponentOne Web Parts

1. Open the SharePoint page containing the Web Part you would like to export.

2. In Edit mode, click the drop-down in the upper-right corner of the Web Part and choose Export from the menu.

    

3. Click Save and save the .webpart file.

To import ComponentOne Web Parts

1. Open the SharePoint page you would like to import a Web Part to.
2. Click the Page tab. Click the Edit button.
3. Select the Insert tab. Click the Web Part button.
4. Select Upload a Web Part and then select the Browse button to locate a file.
5. In the File Upload dialog box, select a .webpart file and click Open.

6. Click the Import button to import the file to the chosen location.
