ComponentOne WebSpell for ASP.NET: Using WebSpell IDE for ASP.NET > Options > Spell Settings

Spell Settings

The Spell Settings tab enables you to customize the spell-checking process. You can specify whether corrections to misspelled words are suggested and what kinds of words should be checked.

Suggest Corrections is the default option. Greater control of spell-checking is provided by selecting one of the following options: Ignore Words in Upper Case, Ignore Words with Numbers or Ignore Words in Mixed Case.

Suggest Corrections

If this option is selected, suggestions for a correct word are provided when misspelled words are encountered. Misspelled words and suggestions are based on the words in the main dictionary file.

Note: Opting for no suggestions speeds up the spell-checking process.

Ignore Words in Upper Case

This option ignores all upper-case words during the spell-checking process. For example, "WSS" is considered a correctly spelled word.

Ignore Words with Numbers

This option ignores all words containing numbers during the spell-checking process. For example, "wss8" is considered a correctly spelled word.

Ignore Words in Mixed Case

This option ignores all mixed-case words during the spell-checking process. A word is considered a "mixed case" word if it contains an upper-case letter followed by a lower-case letter or vice versa. For example, "WsSt" is considered a correctly spelled word.
