The Status bar provides feedback to the user about the current status of the application, current date and time, application state, and whether a system keyboard function has been set. The Status bar generally resides at the bottom of a Windows Form. Unlike other bands, the Status bar cannot float and must remain in a fixed docking area. You can use the AutoUpdateStatusBar property to display tool descriptions for tools that populate Menu bars and submenus.
