Menu Capture

ActiveBar allows you to capture standard system menus from running applications. To capture the menu from a running application:

1. Click on the menu capture button on the toolbar.
2. ActiveBar will minimize the designer and the Visual Basic IDE bringing other application windows to the foreground
3. Click on the application's window that you want to capture.

 

Note: ActiveBar menu capture does not work with applications that do not use standard system menus such as Microsoft Office 97 or Microsoft Office 2000, which use CommandBar objects for menus and toolbars. See our HijackApp sample to learn how to extract menus from such applications.
