In addition to the variety of tool types available in the tool library, ActiveBar also allows you to host ActiveX controls on any band. You can add controls such as a progress bar, slider, or date edit control to any band.

To use an ActiveX control in a band, add the ActiveX control object to your band in the ActiveBar designer and drop the control on your form. Then set the Custom property for the control in your form's Load event. Data Dynamics does not guarantee that all ActiveX controls using VB subclassing will behave properly when used in ActiveBar.

When loading a layout with custom controls, disconnect the controls from ActiveBar first. Otherwise, ActiveBar releases the reference to the ActiveX controls in the saved layout.
