The ActiveBar designer can save and load toolbar layout files (.tb3). You can use this functionality to share toolbars or to store the layout to be loaded at run time. Your application can have multiple layout files (for different locales) that load based on user preferences. ActiveBar 3.0 can load layout files saved in ActiveBar 2.0 allowing you to import old layout files and use them when upgrading to ActiveBar 3.0.

Note: When loading a layout with custom controls for later use, such controls must first be disconnected from ActiveBar; otherwise, ActiveBar releases a reference to the custom control. If nothing else is holding a reference to the control, ActiveBar deletes the control.
