public abstract class ExternalReferenceExpression : Expression |
An external reference is a reference to a cell (or range of cells) that explicitly states the sheet name, so that the reference can be to a location on a different sheet. While the reference may be to a sheet external to the one on which the reference appears, it does not have to be. By adding the sheet name to the reference, the external reference allows cross-sheet references of cells and ranges.
External references can be cell references (for individual cells) and range references (for a contiguous range of cells).
For references within a sheet, use references; for more information refer to the ReferenceExpression class.
For more information about expressions and formulas, refer to the Formula Overview.
