To create and customize a scientific notation cell

At run time,

  1. If your control contains more than one sheet, specify the sheet with which you want to work by setting the Sheet property.
  2. Set the Col, Col2, Row, and Row2 properties as appropriate.
  3. If you are selecting a block of cells, set the BlockMode property to True.
  4. Set the CellType property to 15 (Scientific).
  5. Specify the maximum value for the cell using the TypeScientificMax property.
  6. Specify the minimum value for the cell using the TypeScientificMin property.
  7. Specify the number of decimal digits to display using the TypeScientificDecPlaces property.

    Note: The total number of digits to the left and right of the decimal symbol cannot total more than 14.

  8. Specify the horizontal and vertical alignment of the data in the cell by setting the TypeHAlign and TypeVAlign properties.
  9. Specify the text orientation of the data in the cell by setting the TypeTextOrient property.
  10. If you selected a block of cells, set the BlockMode property back to False.
