Using the C1CoverFlow Web Part

The C1CoverFlow Web Part can be used to display any SharePoint picture library in an interactive iTunes-style coverflow gallery.

You can use a SharePoint Picture Library you already have, or create a new one using your pictures. See C1CoverFlow Quick Start for instructions on how to create a picture library.

Picture Libraries can contain png, jpg, and gif files.

To create a CoverFlow

1. Add the C1CoverFlow Web Part to the page. (See Adding a Web Part to a Page.)
2. Open the On-Board Designer. (See Using the On-Board Designer.)
3. Click the Data Source tab. (See Choosing a Data Source.)
4. Choose the desired Picture Library from the list.

   If you decide to use a list containing URLs instead of a picture library, choose that list on the left and set the following instead:

   • Image URL Column = Choose the list column that contains the URLs of the images you want to display in the CoverFlow (image files must be png, jpg, or gif).
   • Navigation URL Column = Choose the list column that contains the URLs that will be opened when users click on one of the images in the CoverFlow.

   • ToolTip Text Column = Choose the list column that contains the image tooltip information. This information will be displayed when the user hovers over the image. (The text will be displayed as rich text if enabled in that SharePoint column.)

   • If your data source has a hierarchy of folders, the View Scope drop-down allows you to set the files and folders that will be displayed. Default will show the files/subfolders of a specific folder, Recursive will show all files of all folders, RecursiveAll will show all files and folders, FilesOnly will show only the files of a specific folder.
5. Click Save Web Part.

You can flip through the CoverFlow using the scroll bar on the bottom, or by using the arrow keys.
